Knobwell Electronic Keypad Deadbolt – Keyless Entry Front Door Lock

This KNOBWELL Fingerprint/Smart Keypad Deadbolt Door Lock is made similar to other brand name locks I have installed with similar quality and functionality at a much less expensive price. The included manual is well written and illustrated and there are cut out templates provided for new installations. I replaced an existing deadbolt but had to fit the striker plate location a little bit and enlarge it to accept the provided plastic insert. A Dremel tool and some chisels makes that easier to get done. I did this primarily to ensure that the deadbolt traveled easily without binding. The app is easy to navigate and understand and the fingerprint scanner worked well for me, both left and right thumbs. The door lock provides voice prompts and cues which helps in setup and acknowledging that the lock is open or closed. This is a well-made lock comes with extra hardware in case you lose a screw during installation and it is designed to accommodate different thickness doors and hinged left or right sides.

I just installed this on my front door, and I love it. It looks very classy, and was very easy to install. I only needed a Phillips head screwdriver and 4 AA batteries. The lock opens and closes smoothly, and has flexibility in its functions. The sound level can be adjusted or muted, and the auto lock time can be adjusted or turned off. There are multiple options for unlocking that work well. The key works smoothly, and the fingerprint option works well. It’s easy to program in the app, but you also have the ability to program through the keypad without using the app. Overall, it’s a great value, and I highly recommend it.

I am a no key user so when a lock dies I am in panic mode. This is nice addition to the family. The directions were a bit challenging, I am not a that much of a novice but I did struggle a bit.
You can choose the left side or right side swing.
Fingerprint and has a key(just in case those pesky batteries die)
Now the app- yes another app that requires utilization ( you do not have to but it makes it all easier)
over all the quality is great, as good as some high end brands.
price point is great saving $$ is always a must.
DId take me a few times to reprogram from the factory to my code but we got there.
Overall it is estheticlly pleasing and works great.
I would absolutely buy this again.

This door digital keypad runs lower than most that are like it. The trade-off is that it doesn't have the full functionality that many other electronic door locks will offer. Once installed, you can easily program it. There's the keypad option, which works well. The build and construction of the lock seem to be strong and durable enough that the lock will hold firm when in use. It's also got an attractive look to it, which makes a good impression on any visitor to your home.

I do think that you can find door locks with more options. But where this one lacks, it makes up for it with good app control. You aren't limited to just controlling it nearby. You can also access logs, which helps you understand if anyone was using the door to come and go at a time that maybe no one was to gain access or leave. I would say that this is primarily used for someone that needs a digital lock at a low price, but doesn't want to sacrifice too much quality in the process.
